Starry Night Michigan

This painting started with a journey. I moved from one of the largest cities in the country to a small town in Michigan in 2025. When I arrived I was struck by the natural beauty and calm. Everyone that I’ve met here made me feel so welcome. The sense of belonging, peace, and home inspired me to create this painting. One of my Favorite paintings is Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh. I always feel at peace when I see it and so it felt right to combine that feeling with how I feel about my new home.
